Congressman Chris Smith, NJ 4th District, fights to protect the industrialization of our Jersey Shore and coastal communities. Representative Smith has been critical of the reckless process government agencies including the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management have taken in fast tracking offshore wind projects. Concerns over risks posed to the environment, human health, mariner and aviation safety and national security prompted Smith to petition the Government Accountability Office to undertake a critical examination of the entire offshore wind permitting and approval process.
