Who We Are
Save the East Coast Inc. is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit ocean environmental advocacy group based in New Jersey. Our mission is to protect the ocean and the diverse life it sustains, along with our coastal ecosystems and communities, from the harms and costs of offshore wind and ocean industrialization.
Who We Support
Save the East Coast advocates on behalf of the public trust, including the ocean and all marine species, as well as:
- All who take comfort from the ocean’s pristine majesty;
- Fishermen and others who make their living from the ocean;
- Local and seasonal residents, tourists, and businesses;
- Ratepayers, taxpayers, and municipalities adversely impacted by ocean industrialization.
What We Do
We promote social awareness, educate the public, and organize efforts against the harms and costs of offshore wind at local, state, and national levels. We engage in the fight against ocean industrialization in public forums, in the courts of justice, and in civic arenas.
We advise on, provide research for, and help fund lawsuits brought by individuals, municipalities, and grassroots organizations fighting offshore wind and ocean industrialization. Additionally, we support and endorse policies, legislation, and political candidates that align with our mission.
